Universal Studios Singapore (USS) Budget Trip

Hewhewhew ... "Watcha Doing ??" :') *quoted by Isabella; Phineas&Ferb's friend* In replying to her question, we decided to make an entry about one of the interesting place to go for those entertainment seekers; UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPOREEEEE !!!! phewwww.... *relief* :')

Well, the reason behind why we write about this entry is because one of our group members love THE CARTOON sOoooooo much and a movie addict! (you know who we referring to) :'P Plus, nowadays people are keen to go to this such place because it is family-bonding-oriented and besides it suits for the youngsters to have an independent travelling with their friends (near Malaysia + consider as overseas okeee .)  That is why USS is a perfect place to describe for a sort of tight budget trip planning .  :')  So, sit back, relax and enjoy !!!!

Basically to apply the budget trip concept to USS, there are two options available which are By Car then charter a bus to enter Singapore OR By Train then go directly to Singapore .  Which one would you choose ??? Here are some advice that you can considerate and according to which you more comfortable with .  But the important thing is ..... BOTH ARE STILL ON BUDGET . :') *wink2*

OPTION 1:
If you guys taking car as your mean to go to USS, the cost of car petrol from KL to Danga Bay, Johor Bahru is only RM90 for return trip !! But of course, the cost is vary depending on what type of car you drive . :')  Then, don't forget that we have the PLUS toll fare to be paid .....but no worries, it is only cost you for nearly RM88.40 ... Finally, after a very tiring journey, you reach Danga Bay and tadaaaa !!!! From here you have to leave your car there and ride a Odyssey Bus to go inside Singapore which it is also brings you directly to the USS .  The bus ticket and the entrance ticket to USS are not sold separately so you have to pay approximately RM200 per person . Wahh !!! You like it ? You like it ? Us too ... :')

Use a petrol saving car when planning for a well budget trip.

OPTION 2:
Now, we'll see what if you take train to go to USS and how you can get there ?.. First, from KL you have to go to KL Sentral and take a KTMB train directly to Singapore and reaches the Woodlands CIQ station . It is only cost you RM52 / return trip . After safely arrive at Singopare, you can take a cab to go directly to USS and it only cost you roughly RM70 / return trip plus the cab will drop you in front of USS gateway ! ;')  Lastly, the entrance fee of USS is SGD74 for 1 Day Pass / adult which equals to RM184.29 ..

ALTERNATIVES:
Accommodation is necessary for everyone, anywhere because people need to sleep oke ?! *ops, emo* . So, it is depends to you whether you want to go back to Malaysia at end of the day or stay for overnight at any affordable Singapore Hotels after spending a whole day excruciating your energy . :')  It is a choice ..... Or you can stay at any low cost hotel at Johor Bahru .  You will find many reliable street hotels around the town .

Besides that, if you still have an extra money and you want to see some attractions available at Singapore, you can do so by visit:

To show to you that USS is a worth place to invest your money, here are few comments pertaining to it that taken from TripAdvisor:

"USS is a great theme park had so much to offer. all the rides were great. food was reasonable prices and the wait to go on rides was small. i really loved the Transformers Ride (had to wait ages for it tho but it was only just opened when i went) and the Mummy ride."  said Breeanna F.

"Went from KL to Singapore for the day ...Just to visit Universal Stuidos! It's 1000% worth it! I've been to Orlando back in 2001 ..So very familiar with Universal Studios ...But Singapore Park is SIMPLY AMAZING! The attractions are SIMPLY AMAZING! The layout, the crowd, the decor, the service, the security, the cleanness" ..
said Elyes B.

From here, we know that USS can be categorized as an entertainment place that can serve different kind of market segments . Thus, we hope that the information given by us is really helpful the next time you plan to go to USS :')
SEE YA !!!

Hot Travel Tips!!

Bonjour !!! :') Hey there .. We meet again ! Okay, let's straight to the point ....do you anxious to know what is the HOT TRAVEL TIPS that we're going to share with all of you ??  This is BIG !! Very big ! (self-promo)  hahahaha !!!  For this time entry, we will divide it into two (2) sections .  First is the 'Plan Out What I'll Spend When Travelling' and the second one is 'Packing Light' .  Do scroll until THE END . Tenkiu ! :')

1) PLAN OUT WHAT I'LL SPEND WHEN TRAVELLING
*credit image to BudgetTravel*

How much will my trip cost ??? Arghhh .... The question everyone asks, and the one that has no straight answer . The only answer that we can give you is , only YOU will know when you BUDGET it . But what we can do tell you are the things you should consider when budgeting your trip . :'))

FYI, you need to be aware that trips cost more than just what you spend on the trip . There are Pre-Trip Expenses, Trip Expenses, and those little "Ghost Expenses" that we don't take into account but that could add up quickly and take us out of budget .  Here is a breakdown of the most common expenses :

(i) Pre-Trip Expenses - Among things you need to get before you start your trip .

  • Travel Insurance: The price vary depending on the type and extent of insurance you decide to take, the duration, and the place of residence . MSIG Travel is one of the most trusted travel insurance companies among travelers in Malaysia . Before heading out on the road, get a quote to keep your travels safe .
  • Transportation: Take into account airplanes, train, coach, taxis, subways, trams, ferry, and other methods of transportation.
  • Accommodation: Good motels can start from RM 60 per night and hotels from RM 90 per night . Of course, the prices vary depending on the city you are visiting . Get tips on choosing cheap accommodations

(ii) Trip Expenses - All the expenses you incur while travelling and   are usually budgeted when you plan your trip.

  • Souvenirs: Liked that key chain? That necklace? That t-shirt? and many other stuff ?? Then you don't mind to buy it if you have the money . There is no way to budget accurately for souvenirs since this is something we will not know until we get to the store . Most importantly, the budget depends on your buying trends .
  • Foods: A good daily budget for food, you can have your meals at various food court rather than expensive restaurant .
  • Sightseeing: Of course you want to sightseeing and go on tours right?.. You might not be taking tours everyday but its good to have a daily budget . Actually, city passes are good to save money on sightseeing . :')

(iii) Ghost Expenses - This is not meant by when you spend on it, you'll get haunted ! But, the expenses that we don't usually budget accordingly ..

  • Wash Room Fees: Most country nowadays are charging for their public toilet . Obviously !
  • Exchange Rate and Fees: When exchanging money to a different currency there is an exchanging rate that is slightly different (below) than the current exchange rate . This difference is considered the exchange place fee . It is always recommended to exchange a large amount of money, but only if you expect to use it .
  • Random Snacks: We always find some random local snacks that we want to try (chocolate, hot dogs) . *nyum-nyum*

2) PACKING LIGHT
*credit image to Travelpod B
log*

Even when you have the "perfect" backpack, you should know how to pack correctly according to your trip . To prevent muscle strain and back pain, it is advisable to pack as little and as light as possible . *do girls can??* heeee ... How much you need to pack for you trip ? Well, it depends on the season and length of your trip . Common sense will dictate this and this is some recommendations to consider :  :'))

  • If you're traveling during winter, try packing clothes that can be used in layers . Layering is more effective than carrying that bulky sweater and coat.

  • Choose dark or neutral colored clothing . This helps "hide" the stains .

  • Roll your clothes into tight tubes . This saves space and reduces wrinkling . (refer picture).

  • Carry a laundry bag in your pack . It will help separate your dirty clothes and keep your clean clothes fresh .

  • When writing your packing list, try to reduce things to the minimum . Don't add things just because you think they can come in handy . From experience, most of the time those "handy" things are almost never used, and you ended carrying them all the way .

  • Use airtight bags for your clothes and important stuff . They help reducing the amount of space clothes take and also help protecting everything from getting wet .

  • If possible, try to leave at least 25% of your pack free . You will see that as you spend your time traveling, it will fill up with souvenirs and extra stuff . Of course !! *wink2*

So, this is from us telling all of you about the HOT TRAVEL TIPS, hopefully it can help you to plan your budget wisely and your trip could cost more or less .  Let's hope that it cost less .......

Till then ! :')  Merci ~~
